Creative Talent Committee – Board Member
Purpose: Grow and support a strong network of creatives across music, fashion, and arts.
Role Overview:
As a board member on the Creative Talent Committee, you will identify, recruit, and engage artists and creatives across Georgia, ensuring MFA stays connected to emerging and established talent.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruit creatives (artists, designers, musicians, etc.) into MFA
Build relationships with local creative communities
Help plan showcases and creative activations
Support development of a creative network/database
Board Expectations:
Recruit or refer 5–10 creatives per quarter
Attend monthly committee meetings and contribute ideas
Support at least 1 creative-focused event per quarter
Actively promote MFA within creative circles
Ideal Background:
Artist, curator, creative director, or well-connected in creative spaces
Outreach Committee – Board Member
Purpose: Build meaningful community connections that lead to new members and partnerships.
Role Overview:
You will serve as a connector between MFA and the community—building relationships with organizations, schools, and cultural spaces across Georgia.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop partnerships with community organizations and institutions
Represent MFA at events and community initiatives
Identify new audiences for engagement
Expand MFA’s reach across Georgia
Board Expectations:
Initiate 3–5 new partnership conversations per month
Attend or represent MFA at 1–2 community events monthly
Provide a monthly update on outreach progress
Help convert partnerships into active members or collaborators
Ideal Background:
Community leader, organizer, or strong networker
Fundraising Committee – Board Member
Purpose: Secure financial resources to sustain and grow MFA’s programs.
Role Overview:
You will support fundraising efforts including grants, sponsorships, and donor engagement to ensure MFA has the resources to expand.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify grant and funding opportunities
Assist with donor and sponsor outreach
Support fundraising campaigns
Help develop revenue strategies
Board Expectations:
Contribute to or secure at least 1 funding opportunity per quarter
Participate in quarterly fundraising campaigns or initiatives
Leverage personal/professional network for donor introductions
Attend monthly committee check-ins focused on funding progress
Ideal Background:
Experience in fundraising, sales, grant writing, or business development
Marketing Committee – Board Member
Purpose: Increase visibility, awareness, and member recruitment through strategic marketing.
Role Overview:
You will help shape MFA’s brand and messaging while driving engagement and recruitment through digital and community platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Support social media and marketing campaigns
Promote events and initiatives
Contribute to content creation and storytelling
Assist with media and press outreach
Board Expectations:
Contribute to at least 2–4 pieces of content per month (posts, ideas, or campaigns)
Actively share and promote MFA content within personal networks
Support promotion for all major events
Attend monthly marketing strategy meetings
Ideal Background:
Marketing, branding, social media, or media experience
Business Committee – Board Member
Purpose: Recruit and engage Georgia-based businesses as partners and members.
Role Overview:
You will build relationships with businesses, creating opportunities for sponsorship, collaboration, and long-term partnership with MFA.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruit local businesses into MFA network
Develop and pitch partnership opportunities
Build relationships with entrepreneurs and business leaders
Help create value for business members
Board Expectations:
Recruit or introduce 3–5 businesses per quarter
Participate in business outreach or pitch meetings monthly
Help secure at least 1 partnership or sponsor annually
Actively connect MFA with business networks
Ideal Background:
Business owner, entrepreneur, or well-connected professional
